The key to a healthy lifestyle and reaching your goals is not perfection. Ask anyone who you admire and they will not say they got to where they are by being perfect. They got there by being consistent and by asking themselves, “What is my next best choice?”

You slept in and missed your workout window. What is your next best choice? Do you think you failed today so might as well as eat terrible, binge on cookies and watch TV all day or do you get up, eat a healthy breakfast and maybe fit in a 10 minute workout somewhere?

Perfection is a silly goal because you will never reach it and if you do, you are probably not living a fun and fulfilling life. Be consistent. Have a balanced approach. And enjoy what you are doing! Just continue to have a mindset that focuses on making choices that are healthy and reasonable, but also allow you to enjoy life.
