✨💫🧠💪🏼Let’s talk about mental toughness and perseverance…

• I recently started a new program that’s super high volume and a lot of the exercises that I’ve never done before. I’m hitting muscles in my body that I’ve never hit before. With that being said, I’ve been working my ass off, going as heavy as I can and it’s really taken a toll on my body. During my sets yesterday I was in actual PAIN performing certain exercises.

• MENTAL TOUGHNESS 🧠💪🏼 even though it actually pained me to move my body in certain ways I adjusted and did what I had to do to get through the workout, taking each rep, one by one. I dropped weight on a lot of exercises and I did not finish an exercise. People might think this is “being lazy” or “quitting” but in reality I know what MY body is capable of doing and what my limits are. I’m no good if I injure myself and can’t lift at all!

• Mentally and physically I’m exhausted but I’ve got my eyes on the prize in the end 😎💪🏼

• Someone once told me that your brain will always give up before your body actually does and that’s so true. That’s why mental toughness is SO important.
