I’m nearing the end of my third day on the 10 day detox. These three days had me only getting one meal replacement shake per day, drinking water or decaf/herbal tea with stevia, and taking my supplements.
Surprisingly, I’m doing fine. My stomach growls a bit, but I’ve not been terribly hungry. Going into this, I dread the fasting days. Having done other cleanses and fasts, I know I can do it, but the anticipation can be rough. Mind games!
My energy has been ok too. I’ve slept well and I’ve not napped. I haven’t exerted myself but I have down some moderate exercise and I’ve been really productive. I led my Bible study today and my brain was functioning just fine.
I’ve had no bloating or other discomfort. I have that too often from foods, even when I think I’m being careful with food choices. It’s nice to have three days without that.
Also, I can always tell that my skin loves it. There really is a lot to the fact that what we eat shows up on our skin. Inside out health.
This detox is from my functional Med practice so it’s coached and guided. Tomorrow I get to have more shakes and add in some vegetables too. I’m looking forward to that.
