A vegetarian biryani is what happens when you have veggies in the fridge and spices in your cupboard.
.
Recipe:
– Sauté sliced chilli, onions and garlic in oil
– Add your chopped peppers 🫑
– Add sliced mushrooms and mix well till semi cooked
– Add your spices:
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric
Salt to taste
1 tsp biryani masala (optional)
1 tbsp garam masala
Sauté with all the veggies till the spices are aromatic
Add a tbsp of ghee (clarified butter for extra fragrance and flavour)
– Mix well with cooked rice and serve with cool yoghurt
