Around 60 -70% of the children in India are Iron deficient. The causes are premature birth, the mother being iron deficient, breastfeeding beyond a year, poor nutrition and diet, late introduction to iron-rich solids, vegetarian or vegan diet.

Iron helps your kid develop cognitive function, physical growth, supply the body with oxygen, nerve development, etc and when found in deficiency can be reflected with various signs and symptoms.

The daily for iron by age:
0–6 months: 0.27 mg per day
6–12 months: 11 mg per day
1–3 years: 7 mg per day
4–8 years: 10 mg per day
